Col. Casey

I have worked upon these "Cards" from 11 to 6 p.m. last evening, and from 7 1/2 this morning 'till about 2 p.m: nearly 14 hours; and in that time it was physically impossible for me to do them any neater, for which I am sorry on account of the [Grand?] occasion. My fingers and arm are perfectly disabled, so that I can scarcely write this memdm.

I sincerely trust that when I am complimented by being selected to do any thing again for the Presidential Mansion, I will get more time, if practicable. However, you may calculate on me in any emergency in my line.
