that seems to be the way things work now. I am getting along nicely with the War Department Building and the Monument The building is all under roof and that is nearly finished. and we are setting up the granite stairs in the interim. The Monument has attained to 242 feet in height today and I hope to get it to 250 in a couple of weeks. Then I shall stop for the winter and do nothing but cut stone.
