My dear [Son?] I have received your of the 22nd Inst, was glad to hear that you were all well, and that you are [proceeding?] so much in your works especially the Monument. Sophia and children left yesterday for her sister on Staten Island where they will remain until it is [decided?] about Silas’ [movement?] when they expect to [??] [??] at the Pier. Lincoln was over for [??] and stopped all night
