After talking the letter over with Emma I concluded to accept and so replied. [??] I received another note [??] that Gen. Humphrey looked forward to may coming to the [??] on the 20th of October. The time I had fixed in my letter as the time I would wish to go on.
So you see if nothing happens in the mean time I will shortly be in charge of the Division of Fortifications in the Engineers Museum.
