Portland Maine July 6th 1867
My dear Father
Your letter of the 10th [??] was the last I had from you. I am glad you found Yellow Springs so pleasant a place. I had never heard of it before but upon inquiring I understand it to be quite a place of resort. Gen.[??] No 60 directed the [??] to meet in Columbus on the 9th wit and so I shall send this there where it will probably find you. I am glad you saw Uncle [Goodale?] and so many of our relatives. I should like exceedingly to ]??] them another visit for I always look back upon my short visit to Columbus when I first [??] [??] with the greatest pleasure
