My dear Mother

I passed through N.J. a week ago to day and took breakfast with Father. We read me a part of one of your notes in which you make some remarks about your studies. I had been intending to write you about the time of your going with [Barrister?] & say to you that as you will commence in the 1st section in all your studies you could write [ ] ease [recu ?] in that section.
