Mr. & Mrs. Edgar were abroad as usual and I spent a good deal of the time talking to them + to Dr. Britton Prof. of Botany in the School of Mines + quite a friend of Links. He is in charge of the getting up of the new botanical garden here and as he spoke of some new buildings they mean to build I immediately seized the opportunity to strike for a job but suppose as usual nothing will come from it. I will look for father on Tuesday morning. Your affec son Ned
