On Wednesday night I went up to Mrs. Clinton's to a little reception and musical at which two ladys [sic] sung and did nobly. It is a chilly and rainy day here today [?] impact in the beginning of winter although in [?] seem quite warm weather this last week. On Election Day after putting in [?] I went around to [?] of the artists, saw [Bevans?] [?] which is mainly finished. It looked very well. Your Affec son Edward
