My dear Mother

I thought I would write my letter now so as to be sure of getting it off. [?Maggy?] Green has asked me to come out to Cranford this afternoon and spend Sunday so I have a little satchel with me ready to go. It is raining now in such torrents that unless it [?holds?] up I think I will put it off until tomorrow morning. I received your three letters this week &
