I have just got back from Washington having come on the four o'clock train this afternoon and as it is quite early I thought I would write tonight. On arriving in the house I got your lovely and newsy letter + have enjoyed reading it very much. After you got out of the train I talked for awhile with uncle William who left the train at Providence.
