Last Friday afternoon I went up to see old Bauer and found him working on his figures of [?]. He seem to be getting into some state of perfection now. Afterwards I went to see Maynard and we went up to the Academy of Design to see his second piece which was mostly done. This will be my last letter until I see you next Saturday afternoon at the Park Avenue.
