and are not to be examined on it, thank goodness. For the last two evenings after tea I have been playing ball up on a lot a short distance from here on [Temper??] St. It is quite good fun. I get perfectly wet through. Last evening, our side got beaten two runs. The score was 8 to 10, I think, in five innings! I played first base & [distinguished??] myself by muffing two or three good balls that were thrown to me. I think it will be too bad if that bicycle isn't [strikethrough] like [strikethrough] as ordered, after having to wait so long for it. I went up to Mr. Fellows' last Sunday with Aunt [Ma....??] - he has a splendid garden, a regular model, everything in it is just so - and in perfect order - it is quite large too. I think I shall have enough room in my trunk. You don't want that big shawl do you - it would be a good idea to have my trunk sent right on to Washington, and take my little valise to Boston, shall I do this?
