We understood the result of our estimates are to be embodied in a report to you in detail.
Considering the magnitude of the subject and the large amount of careful calculation demanded we estimate that for the determination of the materials in the Bridge and approaches we shall require the services of faithful assistant engineers and computors for a period of six months at least, whose work will be supervised and directed by us as it progresses. We estimate the cost of the services of the assistants named will be between $4000 and $6000.
