Sir:

Referring to indorsement of this office of the 28th ultimo upon letter of February 11, 1888 from the Senate Committee on Commerce respecting bridge across Arthur Kill, and in compliance with your personal request, there are sent you to day by express, Exhibit 23 and four tracings which accompanied the report of the Board of Engineers of April 10, 1888, and tracing showing plan and location of the bridge approved by the Secretary of War March 26, 1887.
