Sir: Accompanying the report of the 10th instant, by the Board of Engineers upon Senate Bill1842, 50th Congress, 1st session are certain printed papers, and as it is deemed advisable that they accompany copy of the report to the Secretary of War, you are requested, if practicable, to procure and send to this Office two additional copies of the following:

B&O 1. Argument of W. W. MacFarland, on behalf of the Staten Island Rapid Transit Railroad Company, 52 pages.

P.RR 2. Petitions, accompanied by affidavits, asking the removal or change and alteration of the bridge now being constructed over the Arthur Kill, &c. &., 23 pages.

B&O 3. Statement prepared at the request of the Senate Committee on Commerce showing the various craft which passed through the Arthur Kill during the month of March 1888, 10 pages.
