F. B. Morris, Superintendent of the Perth Amboy Towing Line, being duly sworn deposes and says, that on March 31st, 1888, the Tug Mary H. Packer, left Perth Amboy, N. J. at 6 P. M. with seventeen loaded boats, Tugs Lamberton and Linderman assisted at the B. & O. Bridge. When passing the Bridge the two struck the Staten Island Pier, and damaged the boat James A. Wallace to considerable extent, time of passing the Bridge 10 P. M. strong flood tide.

On April 4th, 1888, the Tug Mary H. Packer left Perth Amboy, N. J. at 9 P. M. with eighteen loaded boats, two boxes and one Lighter, and one light boat, assisted at B. & O. Bridge by Tugs Linderman and Wilbur. The two struck the Staten Island Pier, damaging the boat W. H. Hagerty to considerable extent, time 1.30 A.M. April 5th strong flood tide.

Tug Nannie Lamberton left Perth Amboy, N. J. 10 A. M. April 6th, 1888, with twenty boats Tugs Packer and Nevious assisting through bridge. Just as tow passed through, and before the swing of tow caused by the tide in the Bridge opening could be overcome, a light bark in tow of Tug Indian, collided with and seriously damaged boat E. S. Wright, time 2.40 P. M. strong flood tide, wind N. W. strong.
