Dear Sir -

I judge in view of the thorough study you have made of the situation at Arthur Kill Bridge, that you have looked into the details of the last accident to our boats. I refer to the serious one which occurred on the 8th inst. Gen. Sewell requested me to send him affidavits in the matter to be laid before the Congressional Committee, and I enclose you herewith copies of these statements, thinking they will be of interest to you.
